The whole day we worked on the house, some of us were carrying on with the nogging and some of us were starting on the nail plates. Two different nail plates were nailed in two different places. One plate was nailed into the bearers where there was a overlap or a joint where it is laminated, the other plates were nailed into the joists where the joists meet up on the middle bearer. On the plates that go onto the bearers 12 nailsare nailed into each plate, but for the other plates we can just smash it straight in. After the plates were done we started helping out with the nogging placing them in the middle of the house between the joists.
